We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions, residing in Egypt.
Senior Accountant’s responsibilities include :
1- reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.
2- A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
3- The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.
4- Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks and clear summarized monthly management accounts to be presented to the senior management.
Skills :
1- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
2- In-depth understanding of Accounting Principles
3- Awareness of business trends
4- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
5- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
6- Must be familiar with ERP (Odoo).
7- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
8- Five years of related experience.
9- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
10- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
