Job Description:
• Collaborate with Web Developer and Graphic Designer to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• Extensive experience in UI design, ideally for both desktop web applications and mobile apps (tablets and phones).
• ... to ... years of experience in the same field.
• Proved track record of creating user centered designs “websites and web applications”
• Excellent experience in HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Products preferably Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong UI/UX design skills and understanding.
• A solid understanding of current trends and design patterns.
• Understanding of color theory, web typography, and user psychology.
• Knowledge of JavaScript (JQuery) and pre-processors is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and not-so-technical people. You should be able to explain why a design works or why it doesn’t.
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
