Gateway Manager – Cairo Airport (Egypt residence)

Impact: Has management responsibility for all Gateway facilities• Manage events that seriously impact the COMPANY network.• Ensure regional policy is well followed up • Manage the resources of the Gateway including cost and performance management.

Customer/Stakeholder• Provide expertise in Gateway management to Operations Manager • manage Suppliers, Contractors and Vendors performance • Liaise with RO Team in the development of country GW strategies • Liaise in operations and develop GW contingency plans with Network Gateways and Hubs• Develop contact with Customs

Problem Complexity/Process •Manage all operational Gateway activity for the Country •Optimise manpower and resources within the Gateway •Ensure the effective implementation and deployment of Regional and Country programmes, •Set security operation standards, •Identify commercial opportunities •Evaluate procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost performance •Ensure that the team is provided with clear direction

People Management • Manages a large number of service, production, or support employees via subordinate supervisors.• Primary contribution is managing other people.• Ensures performance planning, coaching, and evaluation occurs per policy.• Recommends pay adjustments and promotions.• Manages a large team or multiple teams, usually through subordinate managers or supervisors.

Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor Degree and 8-10 years experience in related field, including at least 5 years of management experience. Extensive depth of expertise and knowledge in specialized areas.  A thorough understanding of specific aspects of work supervised. Develops advanced concepts.  Viewed as expert in functional or business area within COMPANY. Deals with cross-cultural tactical issues.
