Direct Reports: Chief accountant, Senior Cost Accountant, Senior Tax Accountant
Senior Finance Manager is needed for a multinational company in 6th of October
Job Objective
Responsible for the organisation’s overall financial plans and policies along with its accounting practices. Directs and controls the financial, management and cost accounting, taxation, internal audit and treasury functions. Manages the finance team.
Essential Duties
Contribute to strategic planning and development as member of management team
Prepare annual budget, monthly forecast, and other financial reports as needed
Define and analyze key areas of the business, including product profitability
Support monthly financial closing
Balance sheet and P/L analysis, and reconciliation
Develop cost reduction and cost management initiatives
Manages the Performance Appraisal of the Finance team
Additional/Special Duties
Provide advice and guidance to senior management
Responsibilities & Competences
Budget:
§ Prepare and Manage the annual budget process for all company
Reporting:
§ Manage the reporting of financials and monthly results in according to IFRS and company reporting system.
§ Manage the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
§ Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry
§ Preparing management reports and presentations to facilitate decision making
§ Responsible for leading month end closing process including review of financial statements, investigation of unusual trends or variances for follow-up and resolution.
§ Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
§ Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
§ Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
§ Compiles and reports financial data as required by organization and government regulations.
Strategy:
§ Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
§ Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures
§ Implement and improve standard costing system and credit control policies and procedures.
§ Participate in the planning and formulation of company strategy and the implementation of departmental action plans.
§ Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
§ Assesses risk of all financial transactions executed by the organization.
§ Examines, evaluates, and processes treasury applications.
§ Raises capital as needed by the organization.
§ Analyzes investment options and makes recommendations to Board of Directors for institution investment.
Audit:
§ Liaise with audit and tax firms for the financial statements yearly preparation, also ensuring full tax compliance.
§ Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
§ Ensure systems records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
§ Establishes and maintains contact with banking-related industries such as insurance, real estate, and securities.
Bank relations:
§ Ensure having adequate cash position at all times.
§ Liaise with banks to provide adequate facilities when needed.
§ Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement company’s policies, procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit and commercial loans.
§ Communicates with stockholders and other investors
Staff Management:
§ Manages the Finance team, and their performance appraisal.
Job Requirements:
Education
Bsc Degree in Accounting
CMA, CPA, or MBA in Finance
Experience
10 years in Finance & Accounting including 5 years as Finance Manager in a multinational company.
Personal Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated leadership, team-building skills, and flexiblility
Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills with passion for details
Outgoing personality and ability to establish rapport and work efficiently with all team members serving various functions at various levels
Ability to organize and work with large amounts of complex information, managing multiple project priorities
Language Skills
Arabic (Local language) spoken: mother tongue written: high
English spoken: fluent written: high
Computer Skills
Excellent computer skills (e.gMS office tools)
Knowledge of IFRS, and Sage
