Basic Function and Scope:
Plans, directs and controls the activities of the Employee Relations Section involved in the provision of personnel administration services to all levels of Personnel. Ensures proper and equitable application of the Company’s personnel policies and procedures and raises recommendations for necessary amendments. Includes policy interpretation, reviewing and recommending solution for employee relations issues, counseling and advising department managers and employees on proper applications of policies and appropriate procedures to be followed and directing the proper administration of the Company’s disciplinary codes. Controls all administration activities related to contractors, and by keeping close liaison with their parent companies. Represents The company with various Government Ministries and departments and promotes healthy working relationship with them. Directs the provision of travel and immigration services for Company employees and visitors. Ensures timely processing of all required Government documentation for visas and work permits.
Tasks and Duties:
a. supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Employee Relations Section. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.
b. Supervises and controls the proper application of the Company’s personnel policies and procedures and provides advice and guidance to other departments and line supervisors on their interpretation, changes in policies or applicable labor laws.
c. Supervises and coordinates the preparation and processing of personnel action forms for Company employees. Includes receiving requests reviewing work prepared by subordinates and advising on the processing procedures or remedial action to be taken accordingly. Ensures proper interpretation and implementation of approved policies covering salaries and benefits, administration of direct hire employees.
d. Coordinates and controls personnel relations activities related to Company employees. Includes identifying problem areas of concern to the employees, monitoring developments in the field of labor legislation in Egypt and examining the impact of such changes on policy. Assesses employee expectations and recommends appropriate changes. Reviews and advises on proposals for changes to policy which may affect Media sector . Coordinates personnel counseling activities, on behalf of the Personnel Division with employees and their supervisor. Liaises with Government authorities as appropriate.
e. Carries out other similar or related duties such as reviewing and controlling the preparation of the Section’s budget, ensuring availability of finance to meet planned expenditure such as leave schedules and end of service benefits, monitoring expenditure and planning any revisions required, supervising the maintenance of personnel records, and files, preparing special and periodic analytical reports as required.
Minimum Requirements :
a. B.A. in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
b. 4 years’ experience in Personnel Administration including at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
c. Fluency in English and Arabic.
