* Overall and Organizational Development
1. Supervises and follows up on operations expenses budgets by area and by category
2. Establishes efficient organization structure and sets appropriate staffing plans (including recruiting and training)
3. Establishes/reviews the job descriptions for his/her subordinates
4. Runs performance reviews
5. Visits and checks all branches/warehouses on regular basis
* Inventory Management / Controls / Audit
1. Controls/revises inventory control and security policies and systems (sporadic checks on inventory, periodic warehouse audits etc.)
2. Supervises warehouse damages and missing goods tracking and minimization
* Warehousing Management
1. Supervises the warehouses situation, defines requirements and leads continuous improvement
2. Supervises warehouses, facilities and investments planning (rent contracts and rates, renting vs. buying, space utilization and needs, maintenance etc.)
3. Leads the implementation of Quality Assurance and the Standard Operating Procedures in all warehouses
4. Controls/revises the systems that guard company assets (vans, forklifts, computers, printers, safes, copy machines, cash etc.)
* Transportation Management
1. Controls transportation costs for transfer orders and vans and initiates plans to reduce them accordingly
2. Leads studies on owning/leasing vehicles vs. renting
3. Leads the establishment of record-keeping for the orders received/ shipped/ delivered (perfect order tracking)
* Performance Measurement
1. Leads the implementation of branch scorecards for tracking warehousing, transportation utilization and costs, personnel efficiency, perfect orders.
2. Develops cost reduction plans and supervises actions on them
