VAM Systems is currently looking for Server Engineer for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skillsets
7+ years of experience managing core IT systems and technologies.
Bachelors or Professional Degree in related field (or equivalent experience).
MS and CISCO certificates and experience is a plus
Strong MS and Cisco administration experience.
Strong storage systems management skills.
Security experience (network, physical, MFA, PKI).
Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
Patching and imaging systems experience.
Monitoring and alerting system expertise
Strong networking capability (DNS, Wireless, Switches, VLANs, IPSEC tunnels, Firewalls, etc.)
Expertise in server and workstation hardware and Windows OS Storage system experience (iSCSI, DAS, SAN, RAID)
Exceptional mix of technical confidence and outstanding people skills.
Superb customer service and passion for delivering customer satisfaction.
Demonstrated ability to triage and escalate issues efficiently.
Ability to prioritize tasks reach out for assistance when appropriate.
Demonstrates consistent tact, discretion, and sound judgment when dealing with confidential information and interactions with senior and executive level staff.
Desires to advance to Lead Systems Engineer role
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain, and optimize core IT systems and services including: Active Directory/Exchange/O365, SCOM, SCCM, OMS, VMWare, SAN, networking, VPN servers, Failover Clustering and more.
Microsoft Hypervisor and Azure cloud infra management
Microsoft SharePoint and SQL server administration
Define and deploy scalable IT solution to ensure workstation and overall network security.
Mentor systems administrators in the context of ongoing IT systems project work.
Assist customer support escalations and cover for others when they are out.
As a core infrastructure technology owner this position includes on-call rotation responsibilities to provide highly infrequent but as-needed emergency support.
Create and maintain high quality documentation.
Provide regular status reports on active projects.
Research alternative solutions and make optimal technology recommendations based on business needs and available resources
Configure and install computer systems as planned by IT.
Test software applications and systems.
Apply knowledge of computing systems and software structure.
Analyze users’ needs.
Create flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation if needed by client’s IT Team
