Job Title:  Diesel Fitter – Open Cut / Civil
Reporting To:  Maintenance Supervisor
Role:
• To carry out repairs and maintenance to mobile and fixed plant in accordance with SWP’s and manufacturer’s specifications.
Specifically the role is accountable for:
• Compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
• To ensure repairs and servicing is carried out in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
• To report any operational hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• To ensure tools and equipment are kept in a serviceable and clean condition.
• To participate in continual improvement activities and job rotation.
• To carry out any other activities directed by the Supervisor within the employees competence.
Job Specification:  (essential or desirable qualities required - ie. education, knowledge / skills)
• Trade Certificate or equivalent appropriate to trade for which employed
• Experience in Komatsu excavators and Caterpillar dump trucks in an earth moving setting
• Experience in welding, fault finding and field fitting
• Previous experience with Electric Drive Haul Trucks preferred but not essential.
• HR Drivers License Essential
