JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Fuel Formulation

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is expected to do the following:

* Carry out research on fuel synthesis and formulation for advanced and future transportation engines
* Design experiments and processes to carry out systematic development and demonstrations of new fuel formulations
* Work with company process engineers to assess economic and technical feasibilities of devised fuel formulations
* Work with engine experimentalists to design engine experiments for testing new fuel formulations
* Characterize performance of new fuels and assess conformity to fuel specifications
* Write technical papers and reports and prepare procedures and specifications for processes, facilities, products and tests
* Lead and mentor younger chemists to develop as fuel specialists
* Provide fuel-related technical support to other departments in the company such as refineries, sales and marketing

Required Experience: 

A PhD in organic chemistry and 10+ years of fuel formulation and synthesis experience. Candidate must have a proven track record in innovation and product development; excellent verbal and written communication skills; creative problem solving skills and team skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience in stage-gate project management as well as sufficient exposure to fuel refining and oil industry.
