• Perform complete audiological diagnostic evaluations, including hearing aid evaluations and hearing aid checks
• Provide aural rehabilitation which includes providing counseling to distressed patients about their hearing loss and associated problems
• Confer with physicians, other professional persons, and parents concerning communicative disorders of hearing and the overall communication needs of children and adults
• Train more junior members of staff and help with the educational and research commitments of the department
• Responsible for day-to-day running of the Audiology Service, including maintenance of highest levels of health and safety
• Evaluation of the hearing aids using speech testing, aided threshold testing and subjective evaluation from the patient
• Provide supervision and support in audiological techniques to trainees and assistant audiologists/technicians
• Produce reports of patient treatment (hospital notes, departmental patients records), referring consultants and associated professionals
• Maintain data records using computerised system
