Job Mission:

The Instrumentation Engineer is responsible to ensure optimum availability of instruments to operation by: Organizes, coordinates and supervises workshop testing, overhaul, repair and calibration of all types of instruments equipment, coordinates the preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance of all instruments.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitors and spot checks workshop testing, overhaul, repair and calibration of instrumentation activities, inspects activities, checks proper use of all types of equipment, and provides technical instruction as needed.
Updates list of work in progress, inspect completed work, allocate time and arrange materials to jobs and create work request for all jobs and complete the work orders made by planners in oracle.
Prepare weekly PM job list for the assigned section and execute
Plan and prepare shutdown jobs considering pending jobs, inhouse projects, maintenance activities with available resources and execute without delay
Provides technical advice and guidance to originators, assigns jobs, instructions and time scales to subordinate technicians.
Collaborates with Section head – Instrumentation and assists with the coordination of day to day maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the proper and efficient maintenance and repair of systems under Instrumentation.
Coordinate and follow up with planner to ensure all critical spares are available
Plan, suggest and execute improvement activities, Capex and inhouse projects. participates in planning project execution, and supervises site work at critical stages as performed by contractors.
Implement and support site-wide and corporate systems to ensure service delivery levels of instrumentation installation, commissioning and maintenance are met.
Implements the execution of routine and preventive maintenance programs (e.g. systems for collection of work projects; prioritization, planning, and scheduling of work projects; adjusting work schedules in response to changing priorities; and documenting and communicating information, etc.) for the purpose of maximizing customer service and efficient and effective operations.
Eliminates repeated failures/breakdowns by conducting RCA
Prepares shift schedule, leave planning for subordinates and maintain attendance system in oracle
Ensures and checks that all safety and loss prevention procedures and good housekeeping practices are observed by subordinates for workshop and job site areas. Holds regular safety meetings with subordinates.
Prepares reports related to assigned activities for the purpose of documenting activities. Regular backup of sub control systems like VFD, Weigh feeder, other controllers
Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Technical & hand tools skills.
Microsoft Office.
Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic and English language skills at different levels internally and externally.
