Central Control Room Operator - Cement Kiln

Job Purpose:
The role of Control Room Operator is to work in a team environment ensuring the safe and un interrupted operation of the plant in order to achieve productions targets, product quality, maximize operational efficiency and maintain environmental compliance, all in an atmosphere of continuous improvement and on-going change.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Control all major process lines within the cement manufacturing operation including equipment commissioning, starts- ups, shutdowns and emergency condition management as per established SOP’s in order to meet production requirements.

Monitor continuously all plant process lines using all available tools ensuring employee safety, stable equipment integrity within prescribe design limitations, operating targets and environmental regulations.

Control product quality at all stages of the cement manufacturing process by having a clear understanding of the targets and the levers that are used to control the targets along with the appropriate decision making process based on the impact of each lever.

Coordinate plant resources to troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain plant equipment as required to meet production demands and prevent failures.

Communicate efficiently with all levels of the plant organization in both verbal and written format.

Collaboration with Maintenance:
Co-ordinate with maintenance departments involved in production process to ensure proper execution of the planning.

Safety:
Monitor the implementation of Safety procedures.

Address any identified dangerous situations.

Production Follow-up:
Ensure that the following reports are properly filled out:
CCR day production report.

المهارات

Bachelor degree in Chemistry.

Good knowledge of the physic-chemical products, of relevant parameters and standards applicable to cement manufacturing.

Good knowledge of statistical process control methods

Problem solving capabilities.

Information ordering.

Communication and team work.

Fluent in English: reading, writing and speaking.

Performance Criteria:
Achieving the targets of production in his shift.

Maintaining the Key Parameters within the Normal ranges in his shift.

Ability to control variation in external parameters to optimize the above points.
