The Job Opportunity

Serco Middle East is looking to hire a Health and Safety Training Manager and Mentor to work with the team in Tabuk, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. KSA is a key focus for Serco Middle East and our goals are aligned to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Key purpose

To design, develop and implement Health & Safety awareness programs for all the Employees, contractor employees and vendor employees to meet the Health & Safety objectives.

Conducts project safety, health and traffic safety training programs to meet the safety regulations.  Conducts safety audits to ensure the effectiveness of the programs.

Key accountabilities

Proactively market the department to boost internal awareness of training abilities and enrolment.
Develop & Implement Training KPI’s and update the Health & Safety Sr. Manager on Monthly basis.
Manage the department staff to optimize utilization and maximize profitability.
Perform curriculum development and instructional design functions as required, while applying effective employee learning principles and training methodologies to promote engaging learning experiences.
Ensure implementation of safety orientation training for all employees according to the the Health & Safety requirements
Develop & monitor Health & Safety Training Plan, Training Materials and Conduct Training for all Staff
Lead train-the-trainer sessions as needed.
Measure acquired learning through formal evaluation assessment
Analyse & further develop training requirements base on incident analysis
Regularly report and consult with the H&S;Sr. Management.
Perform needs assessment to update existing training as well as develop new, relevant courseware to meet project-training needs
What we are looking for in our candidates:

Qualifications

Degree / Diploma qualified in an engineering subject
Able to apply quality tools and techniques
Good knowledge of project quality management systems
Good knowledge of ISO 45001-2018 Standard
Skills & Experience

Requires 5 years of training experience preferably in Construction projects
He should be familiar with Safety standards and procedures.  Should be able to conduct training courses on safety
Creative ability, writing proficiency, visual graphics design ability
Excellent leadership skills; good public speaker at ease moderating large groups
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proven history of success in building and maintaining a profitable training department
Superior presentation and communication skills
Excellent project and time management capabilities
A creative individual who is also goal driven and detail oriented.
Exemplify consistent professionalism, good humor and ethical behaviour
Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards
Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy
To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organisational HSE responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment
Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process
