الوصف الوظيفي We are currently recruiting an experienced Head of Rail for a one-of-a-kind megaproject in the Middle East. This role will be responsible for the planning and development of the regional rail system’s successful delivery, and the development and implementation of the most effective Operation & Maintenance plan to provide the best customer experience. Location- Saudi-Arabia Duration- Permanent Responsibilities Work as the Technical and O&M;lead of the Land Mobility and Rail team to ensure successful delivery and O&M;as an integrated rail system which consists of metro, high speed rail and freight rail, and form an integral part of the regional and urban mobility solution Act as the Technical Lead on all the O&M;and systems functional requirements and scope and performance requirements of the integrated rail network in order to deliver the fit-for-purpose operational performance for the short, medium, and long-term development of the project. Manage the railway operations and all associated systems and interfaces with internal and external teams Develop the operating requirements of the projects rail systems, extensions, or modifications in order to achieve the desired mobility services. This includes fleet requirements, maintenance facility requirements, auxiliary track, and other infrastructure and rail systems requirements, including but not limited to the missions critical aspects such as interoperability. Identify when design criteria changes are needed and work with consultants to implement them Work closely with the Projects team to provide leadership and inputs as part of the core delivery team, particularly in areas of rail systems specifications, integration, testing and commissioning, O&M;etc Lead the development of the project procurement strategy and execution plan with close coordination with the Project team, and procure the best rail systems delivery contractors and partners Lead the procurement of a shadow operator for providing all the necessary operator’s inputs for the delivery including reviewing design, setting operator requirements, and carrying out all pre-operational planning, etc. Identify the best operators to deliver the desired operational performance and customer service Ensure all programme milestones are achieved as planned and per budget. Manage the use of operating simulation models such as RAILSYS, to evaluate the performance of proposed transportation projects, system improvements, or major service changes. Ensure a commitment to safety through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of job requirements that demonstrate safety is a fundamental value Required Experience 15+ years’ experience in a similar role within a rail network environment, ideally involved with a megaproject $1bn+ Must have managed a project from early lifecycle phase, through to delivery, T&C;, handover, O&M;Experience with various rail components and technology including Signalling, Train Control, Rolling Stock, paired with an understanding of Systems and Safety Assurance requirements Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering or Transportation Planning Contact for more information Please apply if you hold the above qualifications and experience.
