الوصف الوظيفي
Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the RT supervisor as leader of Management Team.
Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Oversees the quality of all Respiratory Care procedures perform on his /her shift.
Monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy such as arterial blood gases, vital signs of blood chemistry, and lung function changes and consulting with physicians if there are adverse reactions.
Setting up and operating devices including therapeutic gas administration apparatus, mechanical ventilators, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
Providing emergency care, such as external cardiac message, artificial respiration or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Inspecting, testing, cleaning and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently.
Maintaining charts that contain patient identification and therapy information.
Measuring arterial blood gases, reading prescriptions, lung capacity and reviewing other information to asses patient condition.
Relaying blood analysis results to the physician.
Making emergency visits to resolve equipment problems when necessary.
Explaining health care treatment procedures to patients to gain cooperation.
Checking the pulmonary function of patients.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge Skills and abilities.
Ensures continuous quality improvement and patient safety with full compliance to Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards.
Support the quality assurance activities of the team and actively contribute to the identification of needed improvement in current service provision and strategies for introducing these.
Participates in the Environmental Safety Awareness, i.e. CPR, Fire and Safety, Infection control and major plan of the hospital as indicated.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
