Developing commissioning plans: Commissioning Engineers are responsible for developing commissioning plans for new or existing power systems. This includes identifying the systems that need to be commissioned and developing a testing and commissioning schedule.
Conducting tests: Commissioning Engineers must be able to conduct a range of tests on power systems to ensure that they are functioning correctly. This includes conducting electrical, mechanical, and performance tests.
Troubleshooting: Commissioning Engineers should be able to troubleshoot power systems and identify the root cause of any issues that arise. They should be able to work with other engineers and technicians to resolve problems quickly.
Developing reports: Commissioning Engineers are responsible for developing commissioning reports that summarize the testing and commissioning activities that were performed. These reports should include details about any issues that were identified, as well as recommendations for addressing them.
Managing contractors: Commissioning Engineers should be able to manage contractors and subcontractors who are involved in the commissioning process.
