Summary of Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities:
Supervise warranty flow and provide support & training to warrant officers.
Manage the team of warranty officers to meet targets
Perform quarterly warranty audits including the warranty store
Responsible for providing update training to workshops and warranty officers twice a year on new rules.
Controlling and reporting recall campaigns & service measure status
Communications:
Reports to National Service Director
Communicates with Workshop Managers
Communicates with Warranty Officers
Communicates with the manufacturer’s regional offices
Communicates with Spare parts dept.
Communicates with all JIPCO departments
Communicates with all Workshop Staff
Communicates with 3rd parties involved in the conversion & retrofit of vehicles
Task/s
Assessing the current warranty situation in the dealership.
Assessing the knowledge and capability of warranty officers.
Recommendation & Arrangements of warranty training.
Assistance to warranty officers for critical claims.
Technical support to workshops for MB & Fuso products
Maintaining reports for FFV & Warranty reimbursement.
Ensure compliance with manufacturers’ policies and procedures
Monitoring extended warranty
Apply and negotiate goodwill with the manufacturer
Preparing warranty reports for the National Service Director
Leading a continuous warranty improvement process
Team development to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and procedures.
Discuss job issues with warranty staff to identify the causes and help in resolving them.
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to provide and/or facilitate operational input.
Calculating the warranty audits
Prepare the top 10 warranty case list on a monthly basis.
TPR reporting and assessment of all major repair requests
Release and approve R 20 (scrapping of parts) on a monthly basis
Ensure the necessary tools are available for all subordinates.
Warranty audits for all range of products ( internal and external audits )
Assessment of all major repair requests
Coordinating recall campaigns and service measures
To discuss the Audit report with warranty officers and workshop Managers with suggestions and implementation.
Follow up to assure the implementation of the suggestions.
Maintaining the record of warranty claims submitted and settled.
Investigations and positive settlement for the rejected claims to advantage of JIPCO.
Follow up for the claims re-submission.
Implementation, follow up & records for the service measures.
Communication / Corresponding with the manufacturers.
Verify incoming warranty claims for correctness, returning with explanatory comments.
Involved in warranty Audit from Daimler Middle East (DME) and provide them with complete assistance during the Audit.
Communicating with WO, SA, and HoR for corrections needed on job cards.
Monitoring and ensuring correct and complete Reman Warranty Parts collection, hand over from
side
Calculating and renewing Warranty Labor Rate every year for all manufacturer
Overseeing the parts warranty factor calculation and timely submission to the Manufacturer
Negotiating and Establishing the Warranty terms and conditions on behalf of JIPCO with any 3rd party ( i.e body builders, AC providers, )
Executing the Extended Warranty process for vehicles sold with Extended Warranty by JIPCO sales departments and making sure the Extended Warranty is recorded in the Manufacturer’s systems
Informing MoC, Workshops, and NSD regarding any new ReCall on time as per SOPs
place
Representing JIPCO in front of the Manufacturer for any Warranty related subject with the purpose to
the best possible warranty terms, conditions, and framework to the benefit of JIPCO and our customers

· Basic Financial Acumen enables him to read financial statements and interpret credit notes, chargebacks, and balance sheets for credit notes, understand undercharges and overcharges mechanism
· Able to create & implement SOPs, Procedures, and Flow Charts
