Main role:
Ensure that food products are safe to consume and that all facilities are compliant with local and international food safety standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
Operational Duties:
Conduct internal audits through scheduled and unscheduled inspections of all business units, as assigned by the QM.
Take photographs, films, or audio or visual recordings during the inspections for official record‐keeping.
Conduct follow‐up inspections to ensure corrective measures have been implemented.
Compile and issue internal audit reports, as per company SOP.
Conducting supplier audits for compliance with ISO 22000 and other food safety norms.
Manage and maintain an effective pest control program.
Manage and maintain a satisfactory waste disposal system.
Review and follow up on the microbiological results from the food laboratory.
Manage and maintain the traceability system established.
Manage and review food complaints effectively.
Manage and maintain food safety documentation and records.
Conduct training in food safety and hygiene for the food handlers.
Coordinate with the local authorities when required for inquiries on violations, clarification with regards to food safety standards etc.
Coordinate with third parties with regards to ISO 22000 compliance requirements, HACCP training etc.
Accountabilities:
Responsible to complete the audit inspections and issuing the reports on time.
Responsible to maintain proper records for all food safety activities.
Responsible for proper management of pest control, waste disposal, lab testing and proper training of the staff.
المهارات
Bachelor’s Degree in food technology, health & safety, agricultural science, microbiology, or related field.
HACCP Level 4 is required.
Successfully completed training by the local food authority or approved institution a plus.
Minimum 5 years overall experience in the food industry.
Minimum 2 years of experience in food safety.
Previous experience with restaurants and central kitchens preferred.
Knowledge of the KSA’s local business and market conditions is needed.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to cope with stress, heavy workload, and challenging deadlines.
Ability to work on weekends, evenings, and during the days surrounding key holidays.
Self‐starter with high personal standards and a high code of ethics.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
Very good command of English and Arabic languages both oral and written
