Description
As a Partner Development Manager for Mid Market, you will be responsible for onboarding newly recruited partners, as well as, developing a portfolio of existing Oracle channel sales & implementation partners across Western Europe to help scale Oracle’s application Cloud business.
The role is channel business growth focused and the successful candidate needs excellent presentation, persuasion and development skills, as well as, the ability to position Oracle and our Mid Market go-to-market strategy to partner C-Level executives and/or owners. You will be working with a portfolio of existing and newly-recruited high-quality partners to help grow our channel business, jointly creating business plans, development plans and guiding the partners through execution of the plans.
This role is critical to Oracle’s Mid Market channel growth strategy and we are looking for an experienced and driven individual to develop our Sales and Implementation partners.
The Partner Development team is a part of our new go-to-market strategy for Mid Market, as such, you will have amble opportunity to influence how the team works, the partner GTM approach and interactions with the sales leadership & partner recruiting.
Core Responsiblities
Be a key member in Oracle’s Mid Market channel Partner Development team.
Build a partner development strategy to influence the partners in the portfolio to meet their goals in terms of capabilities, business cases, and revenue generation aligned with our sales leadership.
Initiate, develop and sustain relationships at C-Level with partners in your portfolio with the goal of developing their sales/service capabilities and commit to revenue/business case goals.
Help develop industry vertical partner development strategic plans and work closely with Partner Recruitment and Sales Leadership to execute
Continuously develop, monitor and adapt business cases go-to-market plans, and development plans with partners + ensure that partners are on track with the execution
Guide and drive partners through the Oracle PartnerNetwork program through coaching and being the “single point of contact” for the partners
Work closely with partner recruiting managers to ensure a smooth handover for newly recruited partners to onboard and thrive in the Oracle partner ecosystem
Work closely with customer-facing Partner Sales Managers & sales leadership to ensure close alignment between sales and partner development efforts
Maintain an understanding of Oracle SaaS technology and the Oracle PartnerNetwork program, as well as, articulate propositions to partners.
Speak effectively about products and Partner engagement options, including during conferences
Required Skills/Experience
Your enthusiasm, knowledge, and customer-centricity will help us become the number one cloud company in 5+ years SaaS and Channel Partner experience.
Proven experience with Partners in a regional role in Alliances, Channels, Distribution, Sales and/or Business Development.
Experience with SaaS, other Cloud solutions or consulting services strategies in a C-level customer setting desired.
Professional, proven & senior competence in:
building relationships with partner senior management and owners
being the key connection between partners and sales leadership teams
influencing channel sales partners to increase investment and collaboration with vendors
creating business and go-to-market plans with partners and ensuring that they are executed
Excellent communication and persuasive skills in English, both written and verbal (Proficiency in a second or third language will be a distinct advantage)
Able to work independently and autonomously in a newly launched go-to-market setting
Comfortable working in an organization based on trust and openness – being empowered to speak up and every day try to improve how we work and how we put customers first
Negotiating skills and ability to influence.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, Master’s degree preferred

Develops third party sales channel and ensures partner achieve Oracle sales targets in the General Business space. As a Channel Sales Representative you will pull partners into Oracle business opportunities and manage third party transactions resulting from the relationship. Identify and develop channel partners committed to selling Oracle products. Facilitate joint selling between channel partners and direct sales team. Increase revenue from partner sources and market share through a leverage partnering model. Identify and develop joint “go-to-market” strategies and lead generation opportunities. Provides accurate and timely management information and revenue forecasts. May educate partners in Oracle commercial practices. Maintains an understanding of Oracle technology and articulates Oracle propositions to partners and their customers. Manage transaction contracts, business practices, and deal booking issues. Work with marketing to plan marketing events for partners. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years field sales experience to include 3 years channel sales experience. Strong sales/marketing skills including needs analysis, business justification, and closing methodologies. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Negotiating skills and ability to influence. Knowledge of Oracle field sales cycle and partner program. travel as needed.
