Responsible for the global information strategy and the role of technology as a business enabler, developing an IT strategy and roadmap, and lead the IT team and its business partners in effective execution.
Ensure the overall information technology systems needs are met for the entire corporation, including all hardware, software, data, mobile computing and telecommunications.
Plans for the company’s technology needs and addresses any tech-related problems.
Build strong relationships with the company leaders across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities that exist within the various groups.
Serves as a leader and innovator for the information technology function.
Determine investment priorities and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives, and focus efforts on those that will maximize the company return on investment.
Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology solutions to advise management and recommend actions.
Ensure that current and future investments and solutions are aligned with the company strategic business objectives and goals.
Lead the selection and implementation of suitable technology to streamline internal operations and optimize their strategic benefits.
Lead the design and customization of technology systems and platforms to improve the customer experience.
Monitor the industry for developing trends and proactively advise the senior management team on the emerging technologies and trends that are most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs, and to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage.
Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications.
Oversee the enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of relevant data, including the prevention of cybersecurity attacks.
Provide frequent updates to the CEO and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors to ensure transparency and understanding of the function’s current strengths and opportunities, as well as projects and processes.
