Chief Accountant Job Description

Monitoring of policies, practices and procedures to ensure adequate financial and internal controls are maintained over the companies’ assets and activities
Oversee all aspects of the finance function to ensure efficient performance, timely and accurate reporting with effective documentation.
Provide directions, advice and coaching to the Division Heads within the sector in performing their delegated responsibilities, and monitor their achievements.
Develop implement and follow up with the yearly company budget.
Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
Analyze costs, pricing variable contribution Sales results and company’s actual performance compared to the business plan.
Establishing policies for coordination between Accounting department and Budget Dep (Variances Calculation Process) & Treasury management (Follow Up and controlling Cash flow).
Conduct reviews and evaluation for cost reduction opportunities.
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial/ accounting process and reporting in accordance with company accounting policies, IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
Reviewing the monthly financial statements for each sector.
Preparation and reviewing the monthly closing pack with Head of Finance and finalizing the monthly closing requirements.
Independently managing end to end process right from booking of expenses and revenue as per transfer pricing guidelines monitoring cash flow position, processing payments, intercompany transactions, bank and other ledger account reconciliations to finalization of monthly books.
Assisting and supporting the CFO, in preparation of the Zakat Return plus all GAZT Requirements
