Specifications Engineer

This is your opportunity to join a global company, to identify, establish and ensure excellent contacts with companies and persons who specify paint within the civil structure projects market and convince them to specify Hempel’s product.

As a Specification Engineer at Hempel, you will actively protect secured specification to effectively support sales team to bring back actual sales volume and drive throughout the value chain of key specifiers of civil structure projects in country / region in order to achieve the targeted business results.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

· To convince Architects, Design houses, Interior designers, Consultants and Public specification authorities to specify Hempel’s product.

· Classify and understand deeply customer needs and develop ADPS.

· To make sure that Hempel is specified with the most suitable and competitive systems by both existing and new companies.

· Develop & perform effectively presentations to potential specifiers.

· Perform consultancy for specific projects and do some necessary activities: Organize product introduction workshops, seminars etc

· Actively protect secured specification to effectively support sales team to bring back actual sales volume.

· To ensure that the information on all activities regarding customers/projects is available to Hempel via (but not limited to) our CRM system, and that all relevant colleagues are properly involved

· Development of a pipeline of projects in design and design and build stage as leads

· To support all direct sales team in the approval process for running projects.

· To report monthly on specifiers/ projects / customer activity/ approvals for relevant internal stakeholders.

· To share experience, leanings, competitor knowledge and market trends with internal stakeholders to support the development of the business.

· To support and coordinate cross country or region requests with other specification team, GKAM and Global specification team.

The role will be based in Riyadh (KSA)

Our ideal candidate will come from an international industrial or chemical environment, who is technically competent in construction methods and standards, including: specifications, material selection processes and key (sales critical) construction phases.

You should also have the following qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in business, market or science

· Minimum 5 years of experience in coating industry

· Knowledgeable in paint technology and application

· Good MS Office skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint

· Good command of spoken and written English
