Your responsibilities
Strategy leadership Generates demand in the market that creates growth in line with the global division strategy by ensuring business development and sales activities in the domestic market. Provides market input to global division strategy.
Performance targets Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focuses on achievement of total demand orders (The Company and 3rd Party), gross margin %, operating cash flow, Net Promoter Score (NPS), new orders and demand-related sales, general & administration cost. Customer collaboration Drives customer-focused collaboration, raises awareness, and ensures appropriate action towards market opportunities in conjunction with the global business unit Marketing & Sales function and the Group Account Management organization.
Customer relations and quality Builds and maintains strong personal relationships with existing customers and other stakeholders to ensure high satisfaction level and develops new customers to generate growth. Strengthens customers’ perception of division that is easy to do business with. Is the voice of the customer internally, proactively raises awareness, and ensures proper action towards product quality improvement.
Marketing and Sales Drive Marketing and Sales in the domestic market, including product/ system/ solution launches. Drives sales efficiency and effectiveness locally. Ensures balanced growth through all product lines/Product Groups/Business Units. Creates demand through technical promotion, providing solutions, and a value-based selling approach.
Shared services Ensure agreed service levels are maintained through efficient business and support functions back-end sales, as well as shared platforms and tools.
Standards and governance Implements and ensures compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization. Ensures the accuracy of the financial statement reported in the country.
Safety, Integrity and the Company’s Values Continue to promote the Safety & Integrity culture consistently across the Marketing and Sales organization. Implement HSE and business compliance standards and regulations on behalf of the company within the area of responsibility. Drive simplification on every process for the Distribution Solutions Division Marketing and Sales community, reducing internal focus by eliminating unnecessary meetings, communications, and redundant processes. Proactively identify and work to remove barriers to execution, making customers focus the primary value across the organization (along with Safety & Integrity and being fully respectful of LAT/BAT policies and Internal Controls processes). Lead by example to drive the right behaviors, personally living the ABB values of Courage, Care, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Group standards.
People leadership and development Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed. Builds an effective, capable, and high-performing Marketing & Sales organization. Develops and retains talent, and sustains the overall organizational effectiveness.

Your background
Ideally, you’ll hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent. Education to MBA level would be an advantage.
At least 5 years of commercial leadership experience in large, complex, fast-paced, matrixed, innovative industrial organizations, with direct management of large sales and marketing teams preferably in system business but also knowledge in product business is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and execution of commercial plans and strategies. Ability to create and communicate marketing messages and value propositions effectively to the sales and marketing force and customers.
Experience in dealing with and understanding the global industrial and commercial market, especially as it relates to the ecosystem of channel partners, direct sales, segments, solutions & digital selling, and the evolving e-commerce landscape.
Strong problem solving, learning agility, and ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues.
Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time.
Results-focused and able to work well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
Analytical and strategic in consolidating data into valuable information for the business to act upon.
Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies.
Proven track record in designing and deploying marketing strategies and/or leading and closing large sales deals.
Demonstrated ability for leading and building organizational capabilities, robust systems and processes, and a culture of high performance/excellence in marketing and sales.
Ability to lead and develop talent with a proven track record of doing so.
Experience in working in a “performance-based” environment to foster it within the team.
Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills, and senior executive presence.
Self-driven with networking, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
Ability to lead teams effectively, including geographically remote teams.
Excellent leadership and people development skills, relevant and successful change management experience. Fluency in the English language is a must.
