Job Description:

Organizational Relationship:

The Urban Planning Advisor will report directly to the Minister, and work with other team members of the Program. He will also require to work with ministry staff to address the design aspects of urban development at all levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To review existing plans and analyze urban planning/design issues at the national level. Prepare reports on all aspects of urban planning and design. Make presentations as and when required. Review developer/ investor proposals and make comments as necessary. Provide advice on elements of urban planning and design at the national level. Prepare technical scope of work for projects carried out by the Urban Design Unit. Work with engineering and planning staff on resolving design issues. 

المهارات
Experience and Qualification:

Master’s degree with a preference for Ph.D. in urban planning from an accredited university.
Minimum 20 years experience in the related field on national/international major initiatives and developments. A record of close engagement with utility providers and wider commercial and public sector stakeholders.
Expert in major development master planning and urban planning – preferably at national levels. Thorough knowledge of urban and infrastructure planning disciplines. Knowledge of other disciplines related to planning activities and projects with an understanding of the required business interfaces and interdependencies.
Extensive experience of working internationally (preferably in the Middle East / KSA). Must have a cultural understanding of project management within the KSA region.
