Summary
Manags all activities and staff within the System Integration Section, for remaining informed of new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. In addition, ensures that the integration solutions of the Systems Integration Section satisfy the needs of the business as a whole, and of individual clients. Responsible for addressing employee engagement and retention in the Systems Integration Section and for developing staff in HITA.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1.Remains informed of new IT developments and evolving business requirements related to medical devices Integration and recommends systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
2.Manages projects assigned to the team upon formal project initiation by the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
3.Manages System Integration’s Level 3 maintenance and supports function and provides support for events escalated by Informatics Systems Operations.
4.Manages plans outlining steps and timetables for the integration of applications and services.
5. Leads the identification and assessment of possible back-end integration to bringing together component subsystems.
6.Manages the integration of applications and services based on requirements and designs.
7.Drives Quality Assurance by implementing quality controls throughout the project life cycle including both defect detection and prevention.
8.Models customer focus in their day-to-day interactions with customers and HITA staff.
9.Participates in self & others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
10. Addresses employee engagement and retention in the System Integration Section and develop staff in HITA.
11. Manages and develops the performance of Systems Development staff through performance management, counselling, motivating, training and development and orientation of new employees.
12.Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.
Education
PhD, Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Health Sciences, or a related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Four (4) years of related experience including three (3) years in a supervisory position with PhD, seven (7) years of similar qualifications with Master s Degree, or nine (9) years of similar qualifications with Bachelor s Degree is required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
PMI ACP Certification preferred.
