Summary
Responsible for utilizing operational data to inform recommendations, drive strategic business decisions, improve operational performance. Reviews data analytics tools to capture, monitor and report trends and outcomes with regards to the areas under focus.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Creates measurement plans for department projects and communications, by translating department objectives and goals into appropriate metrics that roll-up to strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These KPIs should be designed to enable optimization and support a business-relevant learning plan.
2. Solves problems by proactively thinking through suitable approaches/frameworks and functioning as an analytic expert to the concerned team.
3. Delivers impactful analyses of assigned projects with high quality, on-time, and within projected budget/scope, considering all aspects are performed.
4. Maintains an efficient process for preparing regular reporting on key operational metrics for the department. Analyses, interprets and communicates the results to be submitted to the head of the department.
5. Reviews and assembles project documentation, reports, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and completion.
6. Collaborates with a multi-functional project team comprised of technical specialists to ensure timely and professional completion of all tasks and achieve specific project goals and objectives.
7. Monitors regulated performance metrics on any necessary adjustments to filed utility plans.
8. Coordinates and oversees continuous improvement efforts to maximize experience and reduce operating costs.
9. Collaborates with cross functional teams to drive best practices and ensures alignment and prioritization.
10. Identifies driver trends and utilization trends to drive decision making, prioritize cost, efficiency, and quality initiatives, intercept problems, identify opportunities, inform forecasting/budgeting, and report to head of the department.
11. Researches and investigates key business problems through quantitative analyses of healthcare data and report findings to head of the department.
12. Coordinates with other Hospital functions for smooth operation of the department.
13. Maintains of databases including reports, scorecards, dashboards, etc.
14. Participates in data issues identification/ root cause analysis.
15. Assists in orienting new staff to the efficient and effective application of departmental activities and responsibilities.
16. Develops and maintains the department s Internal Policies and/or Procedures.
17. Follows all Hospital policies and procedures.
18. Participates in self and others education, training and development as applicable.
19. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor s Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration or other related field is required.
Experience Required
Five (5) years of related experience with Master’s or seven (7) years with Bachelor s Degree including two (2) years at a managerial position is required.
