Summary
Responcable for managing and the ongoing maintenance of the architecture and designing the production, non-production servers, and the storage configuration at KFSH&RC;(Gen. Org.) and overseeing implementation of enhancements to server and storage hardware.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1.Remains informed of new IT developments and evolving requirements, and recommends appropriate server and storage technologies and/or enhancements to current systems.
2.Manages the architecture/design, deployment, and on-going maintenance and support for production and non-production servers.
3.Manages the architecture for all servers and related infrastructure.
4.Responsible for server system and SAN implementation and maintenance, including windows server system, web application system and database and storage system.
5.Undertakes all necessary server and storage management activities in order to avoid server downtime, through scheduled maintenance and ensuring server security.
6.Manages the Level 3 maintenance and support function and ensures that end-users needs are met.
7.Maintains and ensures employee engagement, satisfaction and retention.
8.Manages and develops the performance of Server and Storage staff through performance management, counselling, motivating, training and development and orientation of new employees.
9.Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of computing environment.
10.Participates in self & others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
11.Follows all KFSH&RC;(Gen. Org.) related policies and procedures.
12.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
PhD, Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Four (4) years of related experience including three (3) years at a supervisory position with PhD, seven (7) years of with Master s Degree, or nine (9) years with Bachelor s Degree is required.
