Safety Officer
Job Location : Riyadh
Job Descriptions:
Support the development of OHS policies & programs
Advise & instruct on various safety related topics (fire system, alarm)
Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventive measures
Review existing policies and measures and update accordingly to legislation
Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
Inpect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
Oversee installations, maintenance, work permits
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Prepare reports on occurences and provide statistical information to upper management
Inspecting equipment to make sure they are safe
Requirements:
Proven experience as Safety Officer
In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/NEBOSH) and procedures
Knowledge of potentially hazardouse materials or practices
Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reportingstatistics
Proficient in MS Office applications; working knowledge of safety management information system is a plus
Outstanding organizational skill
Diligent with great attentions to details
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
Certificate in occupational health & safety
Valid Saudi driving license
Transferable Iqama
