Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center.
Manages and monitors the maintenance contract for all categories of maintenance, plant operation, minor alteration and new work projects.
Evaluates on a daily basis, the work priorities for the day and in the future that require forward planning and organization.
Defines and operates a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance System (PPM) which will identify for the Contractor the PPM work that is required.
Ensures that the PPM work identified is actually being done as described in a competent manner in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and established standards. In addition, ensures that all necessary health, safety and statutory procedures are compiled with.
Assesses individual members of the maintenance team to determine their work efficiencies.
Manages records in order to assess the Contractor’s maintenance activity and produces reports using computer techniques (MMS – Maintenance Management System).
Organizes and maintains the technical library of all Maintenance and Operation manuals and as built drawings of all PSCC installations.
Drafts technical specifications and advises the project engineer on the equipment maintenance work required in the execution of new equipment, modification and alteration work
Liaises with the Contractor’s departmental managers to ensure that the correct materials and spare parts are purchased at the appropriate time in the correct quantities. Ensures materials and spare parts are available when required.
Liaises with Contractor’s departmental managers to ensure that technical data and drawings are current.
Provides data to the Director of Operation and Maintenance Services for the preparation of the Department’s monthly statistical report.
Prepares data for the Director of Operation and Maintenance Services in order for him to prepare annual budgets and submissions for capital plant and equipment replacements.
Arranges access or Maintenance and Operation services shut-downs to assist major capital schemes.
Suggests improvements to the Director of Operation and Maintenance Services in evaluating maintenance methods and implementing improvements.
Produces reports on the reduction of energy consumption and more efficient energy use.
Is available for emergency on-call duties.
Motivates departmental staff by effectively leading, directing and motivating employees to perform to the best of their abilities.
Serves on PSCC committees as requested.
Conduct daily meetings with Shift Engineers and PSCC supervisors to monitor and follow up all maintenance activities.
Performs other related duties as required.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with awareness of current trends in the field.
Ability to speak, write and read English.
Familiar with Microsoft Office and Computer.
Education:
Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
