Performs imaging procedures with emphasis on leadership in scheduling, quality control, new staff and student training.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Ensures proper work standards in Ultrasound services (US). Assists with the development and implementation of new techniques and investigative procedures.
2. Performs US diagnostic procedures.
3. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory. Ensures that equipment is maintained and documents equipment down time and repair.
4. Assists with the proper orientation and training of new employees. Participates in in-service and continuing education. Participates in the PI program.
5. Assists in their training and supervises students, interns and trainees.
6. Assists with the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures for the Section, Department and Hospital.
7. Acts as Supervisor in his/her absence.
8. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
9. Participates in self and others’ education, training and development, as applicable.
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Radiological Science/ Technology required for Saudi s Nationals or Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (minimum2 years ) for non-Saudi is required.
Experience Required
Grade 9:
Four (4) years with Bachelor s, or Six (6) years of related experience with Diploma Degree is required.
Grade 10:
Four (4) years of experience as a Senior Technologist, Ultrasound at KFSH&RC;.
Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
* One-hundred (100) cumulative continued medical education [CME].
Other Requirements(Certificates)
Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties(SCHS) is required.
Registration with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or equivalent is required for non-Saudis.
