JOB DESCRIPTION BASIC INFORMATION Position Title English Arabic Pets Agent وكلاء الحيوانات الأليفة Job Code TBD Grade Business Entity Division Marketplace / Front office Department Pets Handling Team Section Field Operations Reporting To Team Leader No. of Direct Reports TBD JOB PURPOSE § The dedicated Pets Agent should execute all field operations which are directed to him/her considering the marketplace as their main objective, these operations should abide by the HCL logistics guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key responsibilities Core responsibilities Field operations § Coordinating routine marketplace orders directed towards pets pickup/deliveries, operating assigned vehicles as required, maintaining efficiency throughout the transit, ensuring no losses and damages. § Being polite and hospitable towards the customers, Working on their appearance to be presentable and attractive, Must feel confident speaking both English and Arabic as per customer’s requirements. § Ensuring a friendly gesture towards the pets, creating a convenient environment for the pets during being stationed and as well as during in transit. § Coordinating routine field operations including receipt of pet’s collection form, receipt of invoices, packing and delivery/pickup of live animals. § Ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and Live Animal regulations are followed precisely. § Scheduling assigned vehicle maintenance, as and when required, to ensure such vehicle is in full operating capacity. § Maintaining a safe working environment, Abiding by all the traffic rules and regulations when in transit. § Ensuring compliance with Animal’s Health & Safety. § Reporting any incidents or accidents immediately to the higher management. § Ensuring the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times. Self-management responsibilities § Identifying the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the Team leader to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended to. § Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role. § Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth. Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Team Leader in order to contribute to the overall departmental growth. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Qualifications § High School Diploma is essential § Must have a valid Driver’s Licence Professional Certifications Preferred § N.A. Years of Experience § A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Nature of Experience § Prior experience in pickup/delivery agent in any logistic firm is preferred. Job Specific Skills § Good driving skills § Ability to learn and operate computer applications. § Strong adherence to detail and accuracy. § Strong organization skills. § Excellent planning skills. § Must be fond of pets. Business Language Skills § Fluent written and spoken Arabic essential. § Basic proficiency in written and spoken English essential. KEY INTERACTIONS Required Level of Interaction § Convey / Exchange – Conveys or exchanges basic information in routine ways to audiences knowledgeable about the subjective matter. Key Internal Interaction Nature of Interaction § For ensuring pets handling is intact with the Live Animal regulations. § Animal’s health and safety should be top priority.
