Key Responsibilities:

Overall Duties:

As an integrated member of a dynamic and collaborative team at SportsHub, you will have the opportunity to play a significant contributory role in the operational success and branding image of the various sports-focused activities and events, run across Saudi Arabia.

SportsHub conducts its own event formats for an especially young and active target group.  Appropriate selection of sporting equipment and event equipment, plays an important part in the success of such activities.

Main Tasks:

Liaison with activity & event Project Managers, building advance equipment & product requirement lists
Conducting appropriate diligence of prospective equipment suppliers and partners
Familiarly with local & international reputable quality suppliers, platforms and partners
Familiarity with delivery lead times of suppliers for different equipment & product categories
Building a close relationship with local suppliers, leading to best-price, volume & delivery contracts
Leading evaluation, negotiation & selection process of procurement options
Ensuing close attention to equipment & product quality, and how it meets with specific activity needs
Opportunity identification – market attention, close eye to new, innovative equipment & branding ideas
Ensuring timely procurement schedule with proactive follow-through until task completion
Regular reporting on order book & delivery schedules against deployment requirement dates
Regular reporting on forecast order book, budgetary tracking & forecast against required dates
Leading the coordination of any shipment and customs related tasks
Liaison with warehouse management team for delivery & storage of equipment and products
Liaison with warehouse management team for registration & tracking of equipment & products
Proactive problem solving - identification of plan-B alternative sourcing or discretionary on demand buying

Main product categories:

Event equipment: tents, banners, flags, barriers, inflatable modules, all kind of temporary constructions
Light and sound equipment
Sports equipment: primarily educational sports equipment
Textile: T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, caps, etc.
Local services: heavy machinery rental, trucks rental, print services, catering services, etc.

Requirements:

Education: Ideally you have diploma or bachelor’s degree in an administration or business related field

Must have: Outstanding organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task, a friendly interactive personality, a track record in procurement, negotiation experience, knowledge of the Saudi market - familiarity with local and international equipment and branded goods providers in KSA, working competency in basic office tools such as MS Word/Excel etc. should be based in or willing to move to Riyadh, valid driving license

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with local and international event and sports equipment suppliers

Nationality: This application is open to all nationalities

Work Experience:

At least 4 years prior experience in procurement, of which minimum 2 years in the local KSA market

Languages:

Fluent in English, with proficiency in Arabic seen as an advantage
