Job Purpose:
Provides a courteous, professional, and efficient service in accordance with the restaurant standards, driving sales and maximizes profit.
Responsibilities:
Provide a professional and courteous service at all times and ensure that all employees of the assigned restaurant follow the example.
Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and always organized and execute and demand the team to execute the highest level of service and set-up standards at all times.
Understand thoroughly the concept of the restaurant and train all employees of the restaurant with regards to the concept and set an example in terms of service, products, and guidance of the team that reflects the concept.
Actively participate in menu design in cooperation with the restaurant Head Chef, know the restaurant scene and gastronomic character of the destination and be recognized in the market.
Perform up selling for all items offered by the department assigned as well as offering alternatives.
Produce reports and analysis of the restaurant and present report in the monthly performance meeting and lead the restaurant efficiently in cost and expenses, constantly delivering the highest quality as well as driving high top-line revenue and profit.
Assist in the preparation of the restaurant’s budget.
Conduct monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment together with the kitchen department and obtain an account for the correct settlement of all sales and be overall responsible for restaurant floats when and as required.
Identify errors and correct them as required during set-up, service, and breakdown of operations.
Manage daily or weekly meetings with the kitchen team and foster teamwork to constantly develop the restaurant for more success and attend all required training as described by the department and conduct daily pre-shift meetings to employees on preparation, customer profile, service and menu served and report incidents that require disciplinary actions immediately to the Director of Operations and prepare and review restaurant’s operations manual updates annually in accordance with the brand.
Constantly improve the product quality by sourcing the best available products and support activities and cooperation with the suppliers and monitor and constantly improve quality and customer satisfaction of the restaurant with the given tools and organize all required restaurant-specific training as described by the department.
Handle customer enquiries, and complaints in the restaurant in a courteous and efficient manner and report to the Director of Operations ensuring that the follow-up is performed with the customer.
Ensure that the opening and closing procedures established for the restaurant are followed.
المهارات
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role with proven customer service experience as well.
Extensive food and beverage (F&B;) knowledge, with the ability to remember, and recall ingredients, and dishes to inform customers and waiter staff.
Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks.
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills, and acute financial management skills.
BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus.
