Manage the application of LCM (Design Reviews and Technical Bid Reviews) providing assurance evidence and metrics that demonstrate compliance with the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia (BAES-SA) DR, TBR, Requirements Management and Configuration Management Policies identified in the BAES- SA Functional Governance Manual (FGM).
•
Manage the coordination and review of DR and TBR Certificates requiring EA signature providing the necessary assurance that the technical risk is traceable to the Programmes / Projects Risk and Opportunity Log and Technical Risk remains acceptable.
•
Manage and provide the necessary assurance evidence to demonstrate that all DR and TBR actions / recommendations are enacted through the Programme Delivery Teams within a timely manner, ensuring that there is traceable and qualified evidence to support the closure of actions.
•
Manage and co-ordinate the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Technical Bid Process including the arrangement of TBR meetings with the TBR Chairpersons, review and signing of TBR Certificates and preparing any TBR inputs for the RBAs assuring that all TBR actions are closed through the TBR Chair in a timely manner.
•
Manage the gathering of monthly engineering metrics to support the management and continuous improvement of engineering within the KSA Enterprise that are reported in Senior Management Meetings (i.e. KSA Engineering Council, Air Engineering Council and BAE Systems Corporate Engineering Council).
•
Manage the updates to the DR Chairperson and Assessor Database in accordance with the DR Chairperson and Assessor DB Update Process, to ensure that the DB remains current and contains experienced DR Chairs and Assessors to support the operational needs for the KSA Enterprise.
•
Manage the review and coordination of LCM Tailoring Statements in accordance with the LCM Tailoring Policy providing comments to Projects / Programmes in a timely manner, leading to engineering functional endorsement by the EA.
•
Manage the review and update of the Core Engineering Information required to support the Supplier Approval Process within BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
•
Manage the update of Engineering Assets (i.e. Document Templates, Guidance Material, Form, etc) that support the application of the Core Engineering Policies and Key Business Processes defined within the FGM.
•
Support the effective application of Engineering Life Cycle Management (ELCM) across the KSA Enterprise, identifying new engineering capabilities (i.e. process, toolsets, training, infrastructure) and managing the successful deployment across the KSA Enterprise.
•
Manage and support the application of the Lifecycle Management System (LCMS) Toolset across the KSA Enterprise.
•
Provide Subject Matter Expertise to the Projects on the application of BAESSA FGM policies and processes and effective application of LCM to the Project lifecycle.
•
Support the Engineering Function s independent assurance role in the review of project documentation such as Engineering Management Plans, Requirement VRCI, TBR Packs, DR Certificates, Changes in Standards / Regulations etc to support independent assurance and technical oversight of the work undertaken by the Programmes / Projects.
•
Provide independent assurance evidence through formal engineering audits and process confirmations to demonstrate compliance with the engineering policies and mandates defined within the FGM.
•
Ensure SQEP engineering resources for Professional Staff tagged as EESP and the Naval Communities are deployed within the Programmes/Projects through the review of Job Descriptions and representing the Engineering Function at interviews to endorse the candidate s selection.
•
Support the Engineering & Capability Team in defining the Training Plan and matrix for Professional Staff tagged as EESP (Support Engineering) and Naval Engineering.
•
Support the Engineering & Capability Team in the review of development plans for professional staff tagged as EESP (Support Engineering) and Naval Engineering.
•
Develop strong working relationships with the various BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Project Teams to support effective delivery of the Engineering Function assurance role.
