الوصف الوظيفي The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and validating the factual and interpretative geotechnical reports submitted by various contractors for individual transit lines of Riyadh Metro. The Geotechnical Engineer will also review the proposed dewatering scheme and comment on the constructability and design of temporary and permanent ground support systems proposed by various contractors to support shallow and deep excavations for individual transit lines. Other duties will include the evaluation of the effect of proposed support system and tunneling activities on the existing and future infrastructures such as utilities, roadways and buildings adjacent to the transit lines and provide recommendation to the Client. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: • Independently reviewing the geotechnical investigation reports and the related activities to ensure that the engineering designs which are based on these reports meet project requirements • Identifying and resolving any technical design issues related to the geotechnical works by establishing of the work scope, the schedule, the planning of the work and providing technical direction as necessary when reporting on the investigation status. • Providing input and technical guidance to CAD Designers, Designers, and junior Engineers from a geotechnical point of view. The successful candidate will meet ALL of the essential criteria below Essential • Degree in relevant engineering discipline, ideally Civil Engineering. • Minimum of 8 of relevant experience on large scale rail, metro projects. • Experience in the design of ground support systems and dewatering process • Capability to evaluation ground movement due to deep excavations and dewatering operations. • Experience in compiling geotechnical profiles. • Proficient in using industry standard software for the analysis and design of various ground supports system https://www.bayt.com/ar/saudi-arabia/jobs/geotechnical-engineer-3009889/ |
