الوصف الوظيفي Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff, and those specific to the department. Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible. Prescribe medication and/or administer treatment/therapy or other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury. Carry out comprehensive history including family history, examination and investigation of individual patients. Write and administer vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases. Interpret results of complex diagnostic tests and investigations and act as a point of contact for providing expert views on investigations and interpretation to colleagues. Refer patients when needed, to suitable medical specialist or for specialist diagnostic tests that are beyond the scope of primary care. Respond to acute/emergency presentations and act as a lead clinician (where appropriate). Suggest patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease to promote good health. Communicate competently and sensitively and establish a patient centered relationship. Acquire and maintain certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Fulfills the requirement of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties about continuing medical education. Participate in Community activities as related to health education and patient education practice. Attends the Continuing Medical Education Program of the department. Participates in approved research projects. Shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues. Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice concerning morbidity and cost-effectiveness. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, and abilities. Participates in CQI&PS;system improvement activities, system control activities, and staff development activities. المهارات ust have the combined skills of an internist and a pediatrician to care for children and adults. Ability to use scientific techniques to sort through data and conflicting information to reach an accurate medical diagnosis. Compassionate attitude when treating patients and their families. Skillfull Practices evidence-based medicine. Ability to demonstrates adequate verbal skills to be understood by a patient or colleague , converses at an appropriate level for the patient or colleague’s age and educational level, and employs the appropriate tone to ensure good communication and comfort. Ability to Integrates and interprets data , including matching current situation to past situations with this patient or others, to make logical inferences and formulate an initial set of hypotheses about the patient’s current condition Ability to use problem-solving to evaluate patients’ symptoms and administer the appropriate treatments. Ability to use multiple patient caseloads among different age groups requires that family physicians be organized. Must effectively lead a staff of other professionals.
