الوصف الوظيفي Plans therapy program for each patient involving exercise, massage, heat, water, light and electrical therapy as prescribed by Physician; Applies diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve joint and functional ability test; Directs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait and functional training utilizing pulleys and weights, steps and inclined surfaces. Uses ultraviolet and infrared lamps, low-voltage generators, diathermy, and ultrasonic machine; Gives whirlpool and contrast baths and applies moist packs; Directs patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches, and prosthetic and orthopedic devices. Gives instruction in posture control and therapeutic procedures to be continued by patients; Adapts conventional physiotherapeutic techniques to meet the need of patients unable to comprehend verbal commands or voluntarily carry out a regime of therapeutic exercise; Evaluates, records and reports patient’s progress for review by other members of rehabilitation team; Shares in requisitions of supplies and equipment; Directs and supervises activities of assistants or volunteer workers; Conducts or participates in training medical and nursing personnel, students, and other workers in physical therapy techniques and objective as requested; Performs other related duties as assigned; Participates in the improvement of quality in the hospital (Quality Management Program). المهارات Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
