In an IKEA store, each store manager has his own Human Resources manager. However, within such a large organization, a Human Resources manager is needed for support You are responsible to secure that all contracts for store employees are in line with local legislation regarding local labor laws You are responsible to ensure that all managers in the store are trained in local legislation so that they are able to manage their staff according to these rules You are the store s specialist in methods and processes regarding: Store achieving the staff cost levels as set in the budget Selection and recruitment Training and development Management and leadership Succession and career planning You provide this know how to all managers in the store You reinforce the IKEA culture in the store
ASSIGNMENT:
Work closely with the store manager to develop the annual budget for the Human Resource department, establish budgetary controls and continuously monitor expenses.
You ensure that the total salary costs measured both in total currency value and in % of sales are in line with the targets set for your store and that you are able to keep your costs down at the level where IKEA can always have the lowest price on the products in your market You ensure that the salary levels of each position are competitive related to the local market enabling your organization to recruit the right coworkers and managers
You assure that your store live up to the social commitments and is perceived as a well respected employer whose brand is regarded in a positive way by the many people
You guide and give support to the managers in your store in: Selection and recruitment Compilation of job profiles (and updating these) Compilation of job descriptions (and updating these)
You guide and support the stores management with recruiting based on the business plan
You are responsible to ensure that all co-workers are properly trained on special development programs to secure the store performance and succession needs are met
You interpret and communicate work procedures and IKEA policies to your coworkers IKEA KSA Date 2 Competence profile HR Manager
You ensure that your staff works according to the pre-set and agreed procedures and routines
You communicate with other departments and management to resolve problems.
Prepare, maintain and submit reports and records, such as employee turnover and HR related reports to the management
You are responsible for routine reports, staff schedule and attendance, co-workers job assignments and results as well as ensuring the performance evaluation process is conducted, reviewed and submitted within the given time frame
You are responsible to ensure all approved HR, policies, procedures and forms are adapted and implemented.
Coordinate with the Training & Development Manager and Country HR Manager to ensure compliance with predetermined training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and monitor the performance results on departments and employee levels
You ensure that systems and methods stated in IKEA Concept Documentation are implemented with regards to your area of responsibility.
You plan and provide basic introductory programs for all new IKEA coworkers
You keep the store management up to date with internal and external training and development programs
Evaluate the effectiveness of the respective training program by obtaining feedback from trainee and trainer investigates other training opportunities for staff
You ensure that there is a functional scheduling, time keeping and salary payment IT-system in the store
You follow-up on your country s plan to establish new stores and the co-worker turnover and create plan for recruitment needs
You ensure effective internal communication within the store.
You are responsible for developing the annual business plan with the store management team in regards to your own department and areas of responsibility.
You attend to employee complaints, facilitate communication among employees and management and guide managers and employees on problem solving, employee dispute resolution and regulatory compliance
Manage observe and appraise your subordinates performance and guide them in their career advancement
You coordinate with the Country HR Manager for the yearly manpower planning and expansion programs
Conduct or co-ordinate regular human resource meetings
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required for smooth and efficient operation You ensure that employees competencies are develop and updated on regular basis
Follow-up and communicate to the store manager and the store management team the agreed KPI s within your area of responsibility
