Reports to Senior Analyst ­ IT Applications
Designation Store Support Executive
Job Purpose
To support and assist in the technical programming of the organization’s application systems,
and to ensure that user requests are serviced on time while maintaining a high level of data
integrity and security
Key Accountabilites Operational
Provide ongoing application support to end users including technical guidance,
permissions, and security
Support the implementation of new applications and system functionalities in
liaison with the suppliers
Provide assistance in the identification and rectification of data integrity issues
arising from application systems and recovery of data
Maintain appropriate levels of technical and procedural documentation
Monitor and optimize the performance of application systems
Identify application needs and determine potential solutions
Assist in the recovery of data from various application systems
Assist in the training of application systems when required
Designation Specific Responsibilites
Provide assistance to improve store personnel use of the IT systems
Escalate and route complex calls to the relevant IT teams
Communicate with store personnel to determine the nature of any problems they
encounter
Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial
action taken, and installation activities

Qualification and
Experience
Education and Certification
Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in computer science or management
information systems or any related field
Certified training in the stated application preferred

Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the stated applications’ role
Working knowledge of SQL server 2005 and above, and Oracle 10G and above
Knowledge on data warehousing concepts would be an advantage
Strong basics of data analysis and data interpretation
Ability to solve complex IT issues in a timely manner
Expert skills in identifying and capturing business requirements
Experience in installation of application systems and program patches for any
retail systems preferred
Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
Experience in installation of application systems and program patches for retail
systems preferably GOLD/Oracle Retail/EBS/RMS
Good analytical skills
Experience
At least 4­5 years of hands­on experience in technical programming
implementation or support
Retail experience preferred
