The responsibility of a data warehouse developer is :
To Define, Test, Analyze, and Maintain new as well as existing software applications to support business requirements.
To Develop, test, and analyze software programs and applications.
To document, research, design and modify the software specifications throughout the software development life cycle.
To Create best practices for data loading and extraction
To Develop and implement ETL routines according to the DWH design and architecture
To Develop reporting applications and data warehouse consistency
To collaborate with BI Developers for conceptualizing and developing new reports, maintaining and updating existing reports.
To provide project status to the top-management, develops, and maintains the user manual and guidelines, as well as trains the end users and new employees.
To Monitor the DWH and BI systems performance and integrity provide corrective and preventative maintenance as required
المهارات
A data warehouse developer should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
Knowledge of Microsoft BI suite.
Experience with a Microsoft SSRS and PowerBI
Experience with using an ETL tool such as SSIS
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
