To carry out Cleaning duties in the patient areas of the hospice to ensure high standards of cleanliness and the provision of a safe environment for patient care.
To undertake cleaning duties as required by the Cleaning Team Leader to meet daily priorities or the regular cleaning schedule.
To maintain high standards of Health, Safety and Hygiene, with regard for areas which are infection controlled, and to undertake training as required.
To be sensitive to individual patient needs when cleaning rooms which are occupied and in communicating with the individuals.
To maintain confidentiality in respect of any information about hospice patients and their families.
To follow hospice procedures for laundering items and for their subsequent storage and use.
To ensure that cleaning equipment is used appropriately and maintained to a high standard.
To prepare cleaning trolleys for the next shift, highlighting low stocks of materials where required.
Health & Safety:
Comply with OCS HSQE policies and safe systems of work.
Promptly report all HSQE hazards, incidents and near misses to HSQE Department.
Appropriate use of equipment’s and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with agreed safe work practices.
Abide by all Local laws, regulations, and guidance.
Perform work in an ethical manner as to not cause harm or damage to Health, Safety and Environment.
Participate in company led HSQE activities, HSQE meetings, trainings and workshops and give feedback.
Actively participate in HSQE training and skill development initiatives.
المهارات
High school graduate.
Previous cleaning experience.
COSHH policies and procedures.
Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and “customers”.
Able to work independently and as a team member.
Able to adapt to different work situations.
Reliable – timekeeping and attendance.
Prepared to be flexible in respect of tasks and duties.
Numerical skills to give information on stock levels.
Able to present written information effectively – messages.
Physically fit to cope with the work and the layout of the buildings.
