Within the Financial Reporting function, the candidate is expected to play a specialized role.
As an IFRS expert, the candidate will advise on the current IFRS standards. These may be a
result of a planned transaction or as part of the external auditors’ requirements on the
interim reports or the periodic financial statements.
The candidate will also closely follow the IFRS developments and translate them into a
constructive impact for the Client.
The candidate will support IFRS assignments for the Client and support the periodic financial
statements preparation on an end-to-end basis.
The candidate will manage the external auditors’ requirements and review financial reports
in the context of such requirements.
The candidate will provide substantive publications and develop technical accounting
memos as per the requirements of the Client.
The candidate will study historical data/prior period financials and carry out detailed
financial analysis as per Client requirements.
The candidate will handle actuarial accounting entries and advising on IAS-19 ‘Employee
Benefits’.
The candidate will follow-up on developments and external publications relating to IFRS.
The candidate will be responsible for developing internal and external presentations.
المهارات
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in an accounting function / audit sector.
The candidate must possess a critical mental ability with a large dose of perseverance and
can work independently.
Has been involved in IFRS implementation.
Should be able to challenge the recommendations given by the external auditor in the best
interest of the organization.
A thorough knowledge of IFRS and financial analysis expertise is critical.
A good understanding of actuarial accounting entries is required along with an
understanding of IAS-19 ‘Employee Benefits’ (accounting expertise, not actuarial expertise).
The candidate will have preference for a substantive specialized function.
A multitasker who can deal with deadlines and can defend own opinion in a clear and
structured manner.
Good knowledge of English is required as most documents and a lot of meetings are in
English.
Advanced user of Excel / Word / PowerPoint.
Expert in developing presentations for diverse audiences.
The candidate needs to be flexible and stress resistant.
Should be bilingual i.e., fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken)
