Job Purpose
Responsible for achieving sales & profit targets in Employee Benefits, Group Life and Group Savings. Ensure targeted quote numbers, hit ratios (conversion of quotes to sales). Ensure excellent customer service is provided.
Key Activities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities (main accountabilities, not exhaustive list of tasks)
Achieving Employee Benefits, Group Life and Group Savings targets
Understand risk appetite.
Understand loss ratio performance of each client and ensure we are not focusing on unprofitable business.
Maintain an excellent relationship with key persons and decision makers at Employee Benefits, Group Life and Group Savings clients.
Build and Manage prospect lists of potential Employee Benefits, Group Life and Group Savings clients. Ensure the Prospect lists provided by the management is acted upon.
Deliver targeted quote numbers and amounts.
Ensure targeted hit ratios (conversion of quotes to sales) and renewal ratios are achieved.
Deliver cross-sell activity – sales of other insurance products to the same client.
Ensure excellent customer service is provided.
Ensure last year’s lost quotes (based on the lists provided) are re-targeted at renewal.
Ensure required underwriting information is received from clients and appropriate forms are completed
Ensure benefits of the policy, options and required procedures post-sale are explain to clients
Ensure timely premium collection and manage ageing receivables.
Resolve issues raised by the clients and escalate where necessary with other stakeholders (sales management, finance, underwriting, claims, operations, etc.)
Attend training programs to learn about new products and services, new systems and certain technical skills
Have experience with CRM applications and know the purpose of CRM in sales
Ability to meet deadlines without compromising consistency in the process
Prioritize to guarantee that all issues are allocated the required time to be handled in a professional manner
Provide updates and reports to management
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Ensure complete implementation of Employee Benefits proposition and Group Savings system.
