JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in the applications and systems testing by communicating the systems testing plans and documenting the result of the tests conducted to ensure that corrective actions are recommended in line with the requirements, BT systems plans and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that testing work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day- to-day operations:
Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of testing work.
Execution of Application Tests:
Gathers and analyses the change requests provided by the business operations and reviews the applications developed so as to evaluate the compliance of the applications with the requests.
Executes the test cases provided according to schedule, so as to identify alignment with business requests and effectiveness of the application.
Proceeds to the execution of tests for existing and new applications according to the provided schedule, so as to confirm their compliance with standards and business needs.
Informs accordingly all relevant parties for the tests results providing details of the test conducted so as to facilitate the implementation of corrective actions to the systems or applications.
Ensure the adherence to a standard Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
Defect Logging into defect management system and to follow up with developers till it is closed.
Develops analytical report regarding the test findings and informs all relevant parts for potential serious shortcomings in quality performance that would result in damage or deterioration to the bank service and performance levels.
Continuous Improvement:
Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Reporting:
Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Bank to meet requirements, policies and standards .
Defect Life Cycle, defect Logging.
Safety & Quality:
Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and control.
Assignments:
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
المهارات
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Training courses related to software testing.
Minimum Experience:
2-4 years of experience as UAT tester (at banking organisation is a plus) .
Language:
English: Advanced.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
Good knowledge of banking BT systems, applications and requirements .
Good knowledge of the TDLC process and components.
Knowledge of Problem Reporting and Change Request methodology and process.
Good knowledge in Defect tracking and reporting.
Good exposure in IBM Rational suite of tools.
Experience in Automation testing, with IBM Rational suite will be added advantage.
Good knowledge of the programming languages and operating systems.
Good knowledge of the SDLC process and components.
