BT Planning Analyst

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To propose and follow-up the production plan of the function according to the business requests, so as to facilitate the accurate, timely and according to business objectives development of applications / configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day- to-day operations:

Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Applications Delivery Planning:

Reviews the change requests (CR) received from the business operations and categorizes them according to the relevant business area and operating system .
Analyze the application development initiatives and prioritizes them according to the strategic direction and business plan of BT.
Evaluate the components of the CR and in cooperation with the related Solutions Delivery In Charge, defines the time frame, process and resources required for their development.
Defines the prerequisite/corequisite components for the development of each application / configuration and develops the production / operation plan for the department, so as to enhance the synergies and efficiency among Solutions Delivery teams.
Acquire approval on agreed target date (TTM) from all stake holders on the timelines and the delivery of the Projects/CR.
Follow-up the execution progress of the approved production/operation plan, identifying, analyzing and reporting any potential discrepancy, thus assisting in the on time delivery of function’s projects.
Continuous Improvement:

Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement .
Reporting:

Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards .
Safety, Quality & Environment:

Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Related Assignments:

Performs other related duties or assignments as directed .

المهارات
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Project Management training courses.
Minimum Experience:

3-5 years of relevant experience in BT applications delivery planning.
Language:

English: Advanced.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS:

Very good knowledge of banking BT systems and applications.
Very good knowledge of the banking operations and requirements.
Advanced knowledge of the SDLC process and components.
Sound knowledge in IBM Rational suite of tools will be added advantage.
Significant experience in the designing and developing solutions according to business needs.
Very good knowledge of bank process.
