About The Opportunity:
• Performing the duties of the Contracts Engineer / Quantity Surveyor
• Good working experience in Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying, FIDIC contracts, measurement rules
• Evaluating of Contractors Payment Applications in compliance with the conditions of contract, specifications, drawings, eligibility and measurement rule.
• Evaluating of Contractors claims which include new item rates, extension of time, variations and recommendation as per Contract
• Working with Site manager and Resident Engineer’s for timely submission of payments applications and maintain proper contemporary records
• Maintaining contract documentation and advise on pre tender and post contract matters
• Preparing of contractual letters to clients
• Posting contract liaison with clients, design and site team
• Evaluating and submission of interim valuations, Site measurement and final accounts
• Take off quantities, preparation of Bill of Quantities and Tender documents
• Preparing and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
• Providing advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Attending meetings, prepare minutes, distribute and undertake site visits.
• Preparing specifications and / or Contractors proposals.
• Protecting Employer interests as per the Contract.
• Ability to write clear and precise reports on expected potential claims in advance to the Employer.
• Final account as per as built drawings.
• Implementation of Project Cost Control, Measurement Principles

Key requirements for the role
Recent previous experience (within last 4 years) as a QS for major water projects that are complex in nature, and are ideally located in KSA.
• Minimum 4 year’s post graduate experience in post contract administration
• Have a BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry
• Fully understand the Contract Administration, Quantity Surveying, FIDIC contracts,
• Be able to communicate effectively with site teams
• Good leadership skills, and be able to work in a multi-cultural and multi-discipline team.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
• Arabic speaker is preferred
