الوصف الوظيفي
Duties and Responsibilities:  5.0 Duties and Responsibilities 5.1 Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care. 5.2 Uses the nurses’ process to provide safe, quality nursing care. 5.3 Supervises junior and new staff and participates in orientation and development programmes. 5.4 Takes charge of the unit in the absence of the person responsible as required or requested. 5.5 Acts in accordance with all agreed Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures at all times. 5.6 Provides appropriate nursing assessment and intervention in accordance with multi-disciplinary plan of care. 5.7 Maintains documentation of nursing observation and action. 5.8 Participates in orientation of new staff member, instruction of certified Nurses and Saudi Arabian trainees and new staff. 5.9 Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. 5.10 Performs other related duties as assigned.  5.11 Performs pre and post-operative care to the patient in related unit. 5.12 Performs pre and post-partum care for Obstetric and Gynecology patient with related unit. 5.13 Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range of equipment, supplies medication and other modalities in carrying out specific medical orders for administration of medications and performance of specific treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnosis, therapeutic and supportive measures. Uses equipment in a safe and effective manner. 5.14 Assumes the responsibilities of Charge Nurse in the absence of Head Nurse, as assigned. 5.15 Maintains licensure in country of origin. 5.16 Identifies and plans to meet own continuing education needs. 5.17 Demonstrate a professional interest and responsibility toward the attainment of the goals of the Nursing Department. 5.18 Assumes the roles of nursing advocate. 5.19 Participates/perform in patient/family education and discharge planning. 5.20 Requires knowledge, skills and attitude to perform the job responsibilities. 5.20.1Knowledge, Information applied directly to the performance of a function. 5.20.2 Skills, Technical or manual proficiencies which are usually learned or Acquired through training program. 5.20.3 Attitude, Characteristics that must display in the job.

Good Communication skills are desirable.
Knowledge of Middle Eastern culture and customs.
