Job Description and Requirements You will have a minimum of twelve years experience in oil and gas drilling operations, including five years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. Excellent command of written and oral English is required, and you will be a leader capable of supervising, advising and motivating others. Duties & Responsibilities: Supervise and perform managerial duties at division level, including preparation of division budgets, planning and progress reports, forecasts for manpower, materials, and services that are required to operate assigned rigs working on assigned wells. Review, discuss and approve well drilling programs. Receive technical advice from and cooperate with your colleagues from Drilling & Workover Engineering. Initiate coordination and planning actions to ensure continuous operations so that tools, supplies and supporting services are ready for the rigs and wells. Resolve difficult and unusual problems that could otherwise delay drilling progress. Make decisions regarding actions to be taken in solving problems and protecting crews, rigs, wells, and the environment. Hold meetings to coordinate activities and make frequent on-site inspections to ensure operations conform to plans, and are being carried out safely, efficiently, and economically. Evaluate efficiency of operations and propose and implement improvements when needed. |
