Job Description and Requirements You should have at least 15 years of industrial or academic experience including at least 10 years of experience working on composite materials for B&C;applications. You must have a record of publications in recognized international peer-reviewed journals, as well as noticeable experience in business planning and techno-economic evaluations. Duties & Responsibilities: Propose new research programs and develop research strategies to address the technical limitations preventing the massive adoption of polymer composites in building and construction. Develop in-house competency in materials testing and the qualification of new polymer resins and composites products such as rebars used in the building and construction sector. Identify new trends for the applications of polymer composites materials in B&C;and identify global partners to develop collaborative R&D;projects and/or industry consortiums toward enabling such applications. Participate in the development of international standards related to polymer composites in B&C;. Train and mentor young scientists/engineers/technicians to acquire the technical know-how and expertise to become fully independent in leading technical tasks and projects. Establish and manage collaborations with other units, departments, and external partners to accelerate the achievement of goals and maximize the impact of the research programs. You will be expected to remain up to date with the current development in the field to be able to publish technical findings in international peer-reviewed journals and to write patents and perform technology landscaping in support of current and future research activities. |
