Job Description and Requirements The diabetes educator is responsible for diabetes education at the time of diagnosis of type 1 diabetes and on an ongoing basis. This includes counseling, coaching, education and training and motivation of patients and parents. The work is done in accordance with the applicable protocols within Diabeter/Diabetes360 and KSA MOH quality and regulatory guidance. This role does not provide direct clinical nursing care to patients and is a training, education and counselling role for all aspects of diabetes self-care practices and in the instigation and transition between different insulin delivery modalities for patients with type1 diabetes.
